OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University remained unbeaten in Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer with a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma Christian on Saturday night at Oklahoma Christian.
Alex Miley, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., scored the winning goal unassisted for the Stars in the 79th minute of the match. Miley was assisted by Malin Andersson, a sophomore from Huskvarna, Sweden, on a corner kick. Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England, scored the first goal in the 47th minute. She was assisted by Miley.
Goalkeeper Brittany Tibbs, a sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., led the defense for the Stars with five saves in the match.
OCU improved to a record of 11-3-1, 7-0 in the SAC. The Stars will face USAO on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Chickasha, Okla.
